LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Humane Society will offering free adoptions for adult dogs through Sunday, March 2.
The organization partnered with the BISSELL Pet Foundation to host an emergency "Empty the Shelters" event. It's intended to help clear space for communities impacted by the recent storms.
On Monday, KHS took 20 dogs from the Estill County Animal Shelter, an area hit by flooding earlier this month.
