LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- It was a team effort to pull a calico kitten out of a storm drain in Charlestown, Indiana.

Mayor Treva Hodges, the Charlestown Police Department, animal control and neighbors all pitched in to help rescue the kitten.

The cat was then taken to Charlestown City Hall to rest, rehydrate and eat.

City of Charlestown Parks Program Coordinator Tiffany Buckland adopted the kitten and named her Remy.
