LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) ā A Louisville Metro Council member is asking for community input on how to improve a city park.
Metro Councilwoman Josie Raymond is inviting residents and Jefferson County Public Schools families to submit their ideas on how to improve Klondike Park, located at 3809 Klondike Lane behind Klondike Elementary School.
The ideas will be used to determine what equipment, features, activities and events to add to the park to better serve the community.
āThis is an exciting opportunity for the community to help design a space that reflects their needs and dreams,ā Raymond said in a news release. āThe playground is way past its prime, and not what our neighbors deserve."
A community engagement party at the park will be held Sunday, Sept. 14 from 2-5 p.m. The family-friendly event will have a bounce house, snacks and opportunities to speak directly with city representatives about the park's future.
The community can also submit their suggestions on what they wantĀ for the park by completing a survey by clicking here. The survey needs to be completed by Monday, Sept. 15.Ā
Metro Council and JCPS are partnering to make a six-figure investment in Klondike Park. The playground amenities will be ordered this fall and installed next spring.
