LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Nature Center is bringing together "Birds, Brews and Bluegrass."

The center is hosting the outdoor fall music event next Friday, Oct. 8 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., citing "a hard year and a half for our community."

"We wanted to put on a great outdoor event where adults could come out, enjoy the beauty of the forest, safely, while jamming out to some great music," Rebecca Minnick, director of the Louisville Nature Center, said in a news release.

The event is set to feature live music by The Song Sparrows, a bluegrass jam, food, beer, and outdoor activities such as a night hike and a meet-and-greet with some resident reptiles.

General admission is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Organizers said there are "a limited number" of VIP tickets available for $25 each or $40 for two. VIP tickets include on-site parking, a souvenir mug and a free beer.

Attendees must be at least 21 years old and show proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

Masks will be encouraged outdoors and required indoors.
