LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Zoo is giving away discounted admission tickets to anyone who brings in a canned good in an effort to help feed local families after SNAP benefits lapsed.
The Zoo is inviting visitors to its Wild Winter Days, which is happening until Feb. 28.
During the season, guests can get discounted tickets in exchange for at least one non-perishable food item per person.
The food drive benefits Dare to Care.
The discounted tickets are only available at the Zoo's admission windows, and they are $11 per adult and $8 per child or senior.
