LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman dead after she was ejected from her vehicle in a rollover crash on the Gene Snyder Freeway.
Louisville Metro Police responded around 6:15 p.m. Saturday to eastbound Interstate 265, Gene Snyder Freeway, between Dixie Highway and Stonestreet Road on a reported crash, according to department spokesperson Aaron Ellis.
Police said a woman was traveling northbound on the interstate and for unknown reasons, left the road and went into the center median. The car rolled over, and the woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car, police said. No other vehicles were involved.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating. The roadway was closed for a few hours due to the crash.
