LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville's Iroquois Park welcomed some new sports facilities to their grounds on Wednesday.
City leaders cut the ribbon on four new pickleball courts and two new tennis courts and sports fields.
The project has been on the list for the city for years.
Louisville Parks and Recreation leaders said they used American Rescue Plan money to complete the project.
"For so many years they were unused because of the conditions of the courts," Betsy Ruhe, Metro Council District 21 member, said on Wednesday. "I'm in this park every day and it's been a thrill to me to see the improvements coming in."
The basketball courts were also repaved and new goals were put in. Iroquois Park is located at 2120 Rundill Road.
