Louisville Triple Crown of Running

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The second leg of Louisville's "Triple Crown of Running" will race through the city this weekend.

The Derby City 10K starts at Slugger Field at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21. Runners will go past some historic landmarks, like Jefferson Square Park, the Louisville Slugger Factory & Museum, Historic Main Street and Whiskey Row.

The race comes with several street closures and no parking areas in downtown Louisville, which are listed below courtesy of the Louisville Metro Police Department.

Road closures

4 a.m. to noon

  • East Main Street from Hancock Street to Floyd Street
  • Preston Street from Main Street to Witherspoon Street
  • East Washington Street from Floyd Street to Preston Street

7-9:30 a.m.

  • Main Street from South Floyd Street to South 8th Street
  • 5th Street from Main Street to Chestnut Street
  • Chestnut Street from 5th Street to 7th Street
  • 7th Street from Chestnut Street to Magazine Street
  • Magazine Street from 7th Street to 8th Street
  • 8th Street from Magazine Street to Liberty Street
  • 8th Street from Market Street to Main Street
