LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Nelson County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about a recent scam.
The sheriff's office said someone is calling people claiming to that they will be arrested for missing jury duty. The scammers will request the victim to go to the store and buy gift cards.
The scammers pressure people to stay on the phone while purchasing gift cards.
Nelson County Sheriff's Office said they will never call about missing jury duty and threaten arrest. Bonds aren't payable by gift cards.
