LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A section of Bardstown Road will close to cars next weekend with the return of CycLOUvia.
The stretch between Grinstead Drive to Douglass Loop will only be open for walking, biking, skating and playing from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12.
CycLOUvia is an annual event that transforms some of Louisville's most popular streets into car-free zones for a few hours.
The goal is to promote healthy activity, support local businesses and brings neighbors together.
The free event is put on by the Louisville Metro Department of Transportation. Officials said the event showcases how the city's roads can be shared in creative, safe ways.
