LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Two teenagers were hospitalized Sunday night after a shooting in Louisville's Chickasaw neighborhood.
Louisville Police were initially dispatched to a report of a ShotSpotter in the 3300 block of Greenwood Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said in a statement.
Ellis said when officers arrived on Greenwood Avenue, they did not find a victim, however a while later, officers were advised there was a shooting victim in the 3300 block of W. Broadway, in Louisville's Chickasaw neighborhood.
When officers arrived on W. Broadway, they found two teen girls, thought to be about 16-years-old Ellis said, who had been shot. Officers applied First Aid to both victims who were alert and conscious. EMS transported them to University of Louisville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Ellis said.
