LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Heroin laced with fentanyl was just taken off of Louisville's streets.

Louisville Metro Police served a search warrant Thursday at a home on Del Park Terrace in the Shawnee neighborhood as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Kevin Franklin, who goes by Kevin Simms, was arrested on a slew of charges. LMPD said Franklin is a repeat violent offender.

The department posted photos of the items seized in the drug bust on its Facebook page, calling it a "major dent" in their investigation.

The photos show 7.6 ounces of heroin laced with fentanyl, marijuana, restricted ammo and an unlawfully possessed gun.
