LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning after crashing into a vehicle in downtown Louisville.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded to a crash in the area of 2nd and Market Streets just after midnight.
According to police, a vehicle was headed north on 2nd Street in the center lane and attempted to make a right turn onto Market Street.
A motorcyclist traveling in the same direction at a high rate of speed crashed into the vehicle and lost control, police said.
The motorcyclist was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died. The driver of the vehicle wasn't injured.
