LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An aquatic park in southern Indiana is opening for the season this week.
Crystal Beach Aquatic Park in Madison, Indiana, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The pool will be open for public swim Sunday.
This summer, there are new slides at the aquatic park, and two children from Jefferson County will get the chance to take the inaugural plunge down the slides.
"The Crystal Beach Ribbon-Cutting and Open House promises to be an evening filled with excitement and celebration for the entire community," Mayor Bob Courtney said on a Facebook post.
The open house Wednesday will have guided tours of the newly renovated facility, a sample menu of what will be offered this summer and a special performance by the Madison Cubs Band.
Swimming will officially open at noon on Sunday, May 26. To learn more about Crystal Beach Aquatic Park, click here.
