Everything ratchets up a little bit the first Friday in May in Louisville as tens of thousands of people donned in pink pack Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Oaks.
Oaks moved to prime time for the first time this year with a post time of 8:40 p.m.
The Kentucky Oaks was supposed to belong to the bright, polished fillies with the clean résumés and the tidy past performance lines.
