LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Everything ratchets up a little bit the first Friday in May in Louisville as tens of thousands of people donned in pink pack Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Oaks.

The 152nd running of the Kentucky Oaks moved to prime time for the first time ever this year, with a post time set for 8:40 p.m. But before that, Oaks Day is a celebration of breast cancer awareness, and the various shades of pink are on display everywhere you look.

Even the signature drink of the day, the Oaks Lily, has that special hue.
