Louisville emergency crews repelled down off the Clark Memorial Bridge on Friday to rescue the driver of semitruck that dangling over the Ohio River.
The guardrails on the nearly 100-year-old bridge were inspected in September 2023, but no one anticipated a crash would send a tractor-trailer through the barrier and steel supports.Â
Bryce Carden said the extensive training he has received from the Louisville Fire Department helped him maintain his calm.
