Scene of a fatal drive-by Sept. 22, 2021 shooting in the area of Dr. WJ Hodge and Chestnut Streets, where kids were shot while waiting for a bus. Three teenagers were injured, one of whom was pronounced dead at University Hopsital.

The shooting was reported around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Dr. WJ Hodge and Chestnut Street.
Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Marty Pollio called the incident "one of the toughest days" in the district.
