Private pilot Jessica Deis and flight instructor Evan Peele were on a plane when it experienced engine trouble on a training flight and lost power Friday, Oct. 11, 2024. Peele navigated the plane to get it on the ground without anyone suffering life-threatening injuries. He is still recovering at the hospital, while Deis has been released.
