There are now just 25 full days left in the short 30-day legislative session in Frankfort, and lawmakers are expressing doubt that's enough time to find agreement on the complex and divisive pension issue.
Five people, from Kentucky’s American Civil Liberties Union, a church and Planned Parenthood, testified to the committee in opposition of the bill.
The measure cleared the Republican-led chamber on a 67-25 vote on Tuesday after a long, emotional debate. The bill now goes to the GOP-dominated Senate.
