LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man died and a woman was injured after a crash in east Louisville late Thursday night.
According to Louisville Metro Police, officers were called around 10:12 p.m. to the area of Ormsby Lane and Westport Road on a report of an injury collision.
When officers arrived, they found a single-vehicle crash involving two people. Police said both occupants were injured, and EMS transported them to UofL Hospital for treatment.
A man later died from his injuries at the hospital, according to police. A woman is being treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
A preliminary investigation shows the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Ormsby Lane when it left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is handling the investigation, which remains ongoing.
