The district says quarantines are inevitable as students return to classes full time during the pandemic.
After the first week of school, Jefferson County Public Schools has 63 positive student cases and 253 students in quarantine; 15 staff cases and 13 staff quarantines.
As some parents ask if its safe for children to be at school, Clark County Health Officer Dr. Eric Yazel says it's still safe for children to attend school in-person.
