New Albany gets extension for Providence Mill Dam work
- Updated
City now has until Jan. 11 to remove rock from the dam, with full removal planned later this month.

In December, the city reached a settlement with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources in two lawsuits filed over the dam and "emergency maintenance" ordered by Mayor Jeff Gahan in August 2024.Â
