LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana State Police troopers found a 17-year-old boy dead after a vehicle crashed Saturday night in southern Indiana.
ISP said Washington County sheriff's deputies responded around 7:30 p.m. to the 8000 block of South Big Springs Road, between Salem and Palmyra. Deputies found one person dead inside the car and requested help from ISP.
ISP said its investigators are working to determine what happened that led to the "apparent shooting" and "subsequent crash" and didn't say exactly how the victim died.
The victim was identified Monday as 17-year-old Hunter Blaine Rowley, of Pekin, Indiana.
"At this time, investigators have no information indicating any ongoing danger to the public," ISP said in a news release Sunday morning. "Detectives are continuing efforts to identify and interview all individuals involved."
