LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Eleven Kentucky animal shelters will be part of an "Empty the Shelters" event next month.
The Bissell Pet Foundation is partnering with Dogtopia to host the event in 45 states from May 1st through 15th. Those in the Louisville area include Louisville Metro Animal Services, Kentucky Humane Society, the Breckinridge County Animal Shelter and Leitchfield Animal Shelter.
Adoption fees will be $50 or less per cat or dog.
