LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The first batch of 2026 Pegasus Pins were unveiled Thursday.

Pin collectors and bourbon fans waited in line outside the retail store of the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience on Thursday morning, where the 2026 Pegasus Pins are now available.

This is the first location this year with pins available for purchase. In celebration of the launch, the distiller also began selling Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon in hand-dipped yellow wax. The special edition bottles commemorate the 54th edition of the Pegasus Pins and the 71st Kentucky Derby Festival with a gold pin sealed in wax on each bottle.

"The Pegasus Pin has been a Kentucky Derby Festival tradition for more than 50 years," Matt Gibson, president and CEO of KDF, said in a news release Thursday. "It’s a symbol of the season and a way for everyone to be part of the celebration. Each pin serves as your access pass to Festival fun, with chances to win valuable prizes and exclusive local deals."

The pins are sold for $7 each at retail stores and $10 each at events.
