LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two people were killed when a home exploded near Cincinnati Tuesday morning.

The blast was caught on a neighbor's doorbell camera. It sent debris flying across the street and into other yards.

Fire crews said the home exploded just before 9 a.m. in Tate Township, in Ohio. That's about 45 minutes east of downtown Cincinnati.

Police said the couple who lived in the home were killed, and a man who was working inside was hurt.

Their next door neighbor said he ran outside when he heard the blast, and saw what looked like a warzone.

"Seen a gentleman running from the residence that was currently working inside the residence, it's shocking," said Derrick Gullett. "Barry and Helen were good people. He was a Vietnam veteran, and she was just as sweet as can be."

The neighbor said the man working inside said he was fixing the home's furnace when it suddenly popped and exploded.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the explosion.
