LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Three people were hospitalized after a crash involving at least five vehicles on the Watterson Expressway on late Monday afternoon.
Aaron Ellis, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said the collision occurred on I-264 East near the Breckenridge Road and Browns Lane overpasses around 4:15 p.m., during the start of rush hour.
The crash appears to have started as a single collision before additional vehicles became involved, police said.
At least three people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
TRIMARC and LMPD Traffic units are assisting in clearing the scene and restoring traffic flow.
It's unknown at this time what caused the crash.
