LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The body of an 11-year-old girl was pulled from a southern Indiana river nearly three days after she went missing.

Around 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Indiana Conservation Officers pulled the girl's body from the East Fork of the White River in Columbus. Officials said the body was pulled from 10 feet of water about 80 yards from where she was last seen.

Since she went missing Tuesday evening, first responders from the Columbus Police Department, Columbus Fire Department and Bartholomew County Water Rescue Team searched for the missing child, who went underwater Tuesday and didn't resurface.

Responders were given a last known location and deployed multiple boats to search the area, including downstream portions of the river.
