LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The fourth annual "Seth's Squad Rise of the Donor" blood drive will be held Tuesday in honor of 9-year-old Seth Walsh, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018.

Walsh has been in remission for two years, but his family said Seth needed more than 225 blood transfusions during treatment.

The drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Calvary Christian Center in Mt. Washington. Twenty-five percent of all the blood donation will be used for cancer patients.

This year, organizers are hoping to reach 400 units of donated blood.
