LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) -- The family of a 6-year-old boy who died the day after being pulled unresponsive from a country club pool is suing the club.
Scott and Shannon Adkins filed suit on behalf of their son Keegan, who was taken off life support after suffering a severe brain injury from the incident last summer.
His mother said at the time of the incident, she was watching him, but got up to switch chairs, and that's when he disappeared.  He was pulled from the water, and a nurse immediately began performing CPR until first responders arrived.
"When they arrived, the emergency personnel knew the mother and this was her baby. At that time, Keegan was doing everything battling for his life," said Camp Taylor firefighter Gary Fields back in June of last year.

The suit claims employees at Woodhaven failed to comply with state regulations and that they were negligent, leading to the boy's death.
It also names two Metro EMS paramedics, saying they were arguing and got lost while trying to get Keegan to Kosair Children's Hospital.
