LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new playground that was built in just one day will now provide exercise and entertainment for thousand of children whose parents are working to improve themselves.

The new playground is part of Youth Build Louisville, a job training and education program that helps young adults find work, get their GED or take the necessary steps towards college.

Currently, the facility in Smoketown did not have a playground for the children of those participants.

That all changed today thanks in part to 300 volunteers who built the playground in just one day.

In addition to the playground, volunteers also built exercise stations, picnic areas and an outdoor classroom.
