LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are searching for a 42-year-old man and his 5-year-old daughter after the girl's mother was found dead in a home in Princeton, Kentucky, on Sunday.Â
Kentucky State Police were sent to the Princeton home where the child was staying on Jan. 28. That's where they found the child's mother, Kelly Black, dead from a gunshot wound to the back of the head. The child, Lela Black, and her biological father, Byron Black, have not been seen since Friday.
Lela is believed to be with Black, who is now wanted for the murder of the child's mother. She is 3'6" and weighs approximately 40 pounds.Â
Byron Black is 6' tall, with brown hair and brown eyes, and weighs approximately 180 pounds.
Black is suspected to be armed and dangerous, and could be traveling in a white Chevrolet Silverado with California license plate 5J83779 and paint peeling from the hood.Â
