LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville was in court Monday after a Shively family was terrorized during a home invasion over the weekend.Â
Police arrested 21-year-old Antwyan Williams early Sunday. They said he is one of four suspects who broke into a home in the 2100 block of Garrs Lane around 8:30 a.m., according to court documents.Â
The victims told police they were awakened by loud knocking at the door, but didn't answer. That's when Williams and the three other unidentified suspects allegedly punched through the door and entered the home with guns equipped with extended magazines.
The men then forced one of the victims out of the house and into the yard at gunpoint, but let the victim go when they heard the sirens from approaching police cars. Shively officers on their way to the scene also received a report on their radios that a victim was being dragged through the front yard.Â
The suspects left the scene in two vehicles. Officers chased one vehicle as it left the scene, but it got away.
Another vehicle was abandoned by the suspects. Shively officers requested assistance from an LMPD unit with a K9 to begin tracking the suspects on foot. An LMPD officer then located two men matching the suspects' description walking on Dover Road.Â
One person got away, but police arrested Williams, who was found with a Glock handgun, keys and a cell phone.Â
The victims told investigators they had sold a vehicle to Williams a couple of months ago. Williams said the vehicle was stolen earlier that morning, and accused the victims of taking it.
Williams pleaded not guilty in court Monday, and Jefferson County district judge Kristina Garvey set his bond at $100,000 bond. He is due back in court next week.
