LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Anchorage Middletown Fire and EMS announced the appointment of an interim chief on Wednesday.
In September, former chief Kevin Groody announced his retirement after 27 years of service. The fire department appointed Kevin Tyler to interim Fire Chief.Â
Tyler has served for 38 years in Louisville. He retired from the Louisville Division of Fire before taking on the role of Chief at the former Harrods Creek Fire Department, according to a news release.
"I am honored to lead such a talented and dedicated team as we strive to provide the highest level of service to our communities," Tyler said in a news release. "Together, we will continue to embrace new technologies and strategies that enhance our firefighting and emergency response efforts."
