LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A first-of-its-kind opportunity is now available for medical students in Louisville.

Bellarmine University and Norton Healthcare teamed up to launch the nation's first fellowship in neurologic physical therapy.

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus is also involved in the partnership.

The 12-month fellowship is available to workers at Norton or the Wexner Medical Center. Participants will be employed with full-time benefits, and will not pay tuition.

The goal of the program is to develop physical therapy specialists who can address the complex rehab needs of patients with neurological movement disorders, such as Parkinson's disease, tremors, and Huntington's Disease.
