LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Local lawmakers and the mother of Breonna Taylor announced an effort to ban no-knock warrants nationwide.
Taylor's mother, Tamika Palmer, will be joined Wednesday by Kentucky Rep. Morgan McGarvey, Sens. Rand Paul and Cory Booker, and Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett plan to reintroduce the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act.
The bipartisan effort is meant to ban intrusive, dangerous law enforcement tactics. The bill was first introduced in 2020 but has failed numerous times.
A news conference announcing the proposed legislation is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Dec. 10.
