LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- With a little less than two months to go until the most exciting two minutes in sports, Woodford Reserve unveiled the artwork for its bottle celebrating Kentucky Derby 150.

The 2024 commemorative bottle celebrating the 150th anniversary of the race was unveiled Tuesday morning at Churchill Downs.

This year, Kentucky native Wylie Caudill's artwork, "Adorned in Roses," is featured on the bottle. The piece shows a racing thoroughbred covered with red roses on a background of multicolored roses.

"Wylie's artwork embodies the spirit of Woodford Reserve, the liveliness of Churchill Downs during race day, and the heart of Kentucky," Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall said in a news release. "We're thrilled to have a Kentuckian's artwork on our bottle during this monumental year."

According to a news release, Caudill, a native of Cynthiana, Kentucky, is known for his "bold, repetitive patterns, and his signature roses." He also created the official art of the Kentucky Derby for the 150th anniversary.

"As a Kentucky native, I am honored to be a part of this milestone celebration," Caudill said in a news release. "I have painted by signature roses many times over the years, but this one is truly special. The colorful roses symbolize the diverse Derby fans from around the world, connecting people beyond the track."

The annual Derby bottles of Woodford Reserve have been anticipated collectors items among bourbon and racing fans since 1999, officials said. The 1-liter bottle retails for $55 and can be purchased globally.
