LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Run for the Roses may be seven months away but the official art for the 150th Kentucky Derby has been revealed.

Thursday, Churchill Downs released the official art for the 2024 Kentucky Derby. It was created by Kentucky native Wylie Caudill.

The piece highlights the 150th Kentucky Derby trophy, the newly reimagined Paddock and the iconic Twin Spires.

It also features 150 red roses representing the Derby Winner's Circle surrounded by more colorful roses symbolizing Derby fans from around the world.

Caudill will also be the official artist for the Woodford Reserve Commemorative Derby bottle and will create original murals around Churchill Downs and surprise locations leading up to the Derby.
