LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A national discount retailer that announced plans to close hundreds of stores after filing bankruptcy last month is closing several dozen additional stores, including a store in New Albany.
"Store Closing" signs were posted on the Big Lots located in New Albany at New Albany Plaza off State Street. An exact date for the closure has not been announced.
The company filed for bankruptcy in September and was already set to close about 300 of its stores, including the store on Poplar Level Road near Interstate 264 in Louisville.
Big Lots revealed in bankruptcy filings earlier this week that the New Albany store is one of 56 additional locations that will be closed.
