LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A gas station in Louisville is beefing up its convenience store.
Shell opened its first Shell Select in the United States at its location at 4950 Old Brownsboro Road on Wednesday.
Shell Select offers Deli by Shell. The company describes it as locally inspired and freshly prepared food.
"We have a couple of chefs who have worked with us to design all of the different foods here," said Sydney Kimball, vice president for Shell Retail for Americas. "And we have done a number of the items to be really special just for Louisville Kentucky."
Shell chose Louisville because of a retail business partnership it has here in the city. It plans to expand this concept in the future.
