LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after she was shot in a New Albany neighborhood.
According to Chief Todd Bailey with the New Albany Police Department, officers received a call of a possible shooting at 102 Fieldstone Court around 1 p.m. That's near Green Valley Road.
When officers arrived, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. She was alert and speaking to investigators, Bailey said, and was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment.
Her injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
Officers identified and have detained an individual that they believe is the suspect.
The New Albany Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the case, and Bailey said no additional information can be released due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.
