LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A major convenience store chain is setting its sights on Indiana in a big way.

Sheetz plans to build 100 locations across the state over the next decade, a move the company says represents a $1 billion investment and could bring about 3,000 full-time jobs.

According to reporting from FOX59, the first locations are expected to open in the Indianapolis area starting in 2027. Specific store sites and timelines have not yet been announced.

The expansion also sets the stage for increased competition with Wawa, which has already begun opening locations in Indiana.

Sheetz is known for its made-to-order food and expanded convenience store model, offering customers a wide range of menu options alongside fuel services. Most locations operate 24 hours a day and cater to both everyday drivers and long-distance travelers.

Company leaders say the move into Indiana comes after growing interest from residents and continued expansion across the Midwest.
