LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Downtown Louisville will soon have its own spot to place bets.
Derby City Gaming is set to open it's downtown location on Dec. 6, according to a post on the gaming site's Facebook page.
The opening date is exactly 150 days before the 150th Run for the Roses, held on May 4, 2024.
It's the latest gaming site from Churchill Downs, which also has Derby City Gaming on Poplar Level Road in Newburg.
The downtown location is 44,000 square feet and will have bars and lounges, live entertainment, sports wagering and close to 500 slots.Â
The new location is at the corner of 4th and Market Streets.
