LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Walgreens has settled an opioidĀ case with Kentucky for $102 million.

Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced the deal on Wednesday. Walgreens was accused of unlawful businesses practicesĀ that made the opioidĀ epidemic worse.

The payout will happen over 15 years. Walgreens didn't admit to wrongdoing in the deal.

Moving forward, the pharmacy must monitor and report any suspicious activity about opioid prescriptions.
