LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – A new golf store is coming to St. Matthews.

Early work is underway on A PGA Tour Superstore planned for the old Bed Bath & Beyond location in a shopping center off Breckenridge Lane. It would be the first such facility in Kentucky.

Plans call for nearly 35,000 square feet of golf apparel and accessories, along with a putting green, hitting bays and virtual simulators. The store also will offer lessons and club fittings and repairs.

“Golf provides a wonderful setting for meaningful connections on and off the green,” PGA Tour Superstore’s communications director, Megan Mahoney, said in a statement. “Combining our pro expertise, interactive environment and everything needed to play, we will help golfers in the Louisville community – from beginners to avids – have fun and enjoy the game.”

The store is expected to open in early 2025 and employ 30 to 40 workers.

Bed Bath & Beyond announced last year it was closing all of its retail outlets in Louisville.

The University of Louisville Real Estate Foundation owns the property. NTS Development Co. represented the foundation in lease negotiations, said Tony Fluhr, managing director at NTS.

"We are thrilled to facilitate this partnership between the University of Louisville Foundation and PGA TOUR Superstore," Fluhr said in a statement. "This collaboration not only drives economic growth but also provides valuable resources for golfers in our community."
