LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Bravo Italian Kitchen near Oxmoor Center has closed, ending more than two decades of operation at the Louisville location.

The restaurant, located on Bullitt Lane, was the chain’s only location in the Louisville area. No advance notice of the closure was posted at the site.

According to our partners at Louisville Business First, the closure is tied to the company’s ongoing bankruptcy reorganization.

Bravo Italian Kitchen and its sister brand, Brio Italian Grille, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year and have recently closed several locations nationwide.

Court filings cited by Louisville Business First show the restaurant was among six locations the company decided to shut down as part of restructuring efforts.

Bravo Italian Kitchen opened near Oxmoor Center in 2003. The company has not announced plans for the space or commented further on the Louisville closure.
