LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- MELANnaire Marketplace is hosting a fall festival to showcase local Black-owned businesses.
The family-friendly event will be held Friday, Oct. 18, at 4th Street Live from 6-10 p.m.
The festival will feature a variety of Black-owned vendors, selling everything from jewelry and clothing, to food and crafts.
Organizers said the festival serves as an opportunity for neighbors, friends and family to come together and foster "relationships that build and strengthen the community."
"This festival not only celebrates our culture but also empowers our local entrepreneurs and keeps our community thriving," Nachand Trabue, CEO of MELANnaire Marketplace, said in a news release.
There will also be live music and performances throughout the event, which is free to attend.
