LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A marketplace for Black-owned businesses that normally operates out of downtown Louisville is setting up shop at Mall St. Matthews this weekend just in time for the Christmas season.Ā Ā
Nachand Trabue, who founded MELANnaire Marketplace during the COVID-19 pandemic, joined WDRB Mornings on Monday to preview what shoppers can expect.Ā
More than 30 Black-owned businesses and vendors will be featured at the marketplace in the Mall once it opens Nov. 10. It will remain open through Jan. 2.Ā
"This year, we have an array of different types of vendors, and we're excited," Trabue said Monday. "We have Mom and Me Treats. That's the peanut butter brittle. They have both sugar-free and the regular. Everyone gets a bag of peanut butter brittle.
"We have My Dog still coming, and My Dog is for anyone who has animals and pets. They have vegan treats as well as dog apparel."
The Melannaire Marketplace will be located next door to the women's Dillards.
