LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A church-turned-Airbnb in Louisville's NuLu neighborhood is up for sale, according to our partners at Louisville Business First.

The rental property known as the Holy Goat is listed for $2.1 million. It is located at 218 and 220 S. Clay St. and currently operates as five short-term rental units on Airbnb.Ā

Each unit has a theme tied to Louisville history. The ground floor, for example, is called The Ali Suite — an homage to Muhammad Ali. It includes a king-size bed, kitchenette and two lounge sofas. Additionally, The Braden Suite honors Louisville native and activist Anne Braden and includes a full kitchen, queen bed and sleeper sofa.

The other units are called Fellowship Hall, The Parsonage and The Revival.

Built in the 1840s as a church, the property was purchased by The Holy Goat LLC in 2016. The owners completed the full renovation.

The realtor heading the sale, Brandon Jones, didn't comment on the reason for the sale but said the renovations were a "passion project" for the owners.

"All the way down to the decor, the glasses, the artwork, every detail of it was thought out from the finishes to the silverware," Jones said.

The sale also includes two additional, unused units on the property. Jones said once purchased, the new owners can "start renting it immediately."
